disbelief, for suddenly, the writing on the page she was reading simply
disappeared. The page was blank. She turned the next page and the next, then
flipped wildly through the book, yet the same was true for every part of it.
The whole town was experiencing the same phenomenon, and this stroke of magic
would change everyone’s life forever.

‘chapters’, the story suggests a modern day fable in an old world setting.
